GONDOLA RIDE - LAS VEGAS

Gondola-ride Lasvegas

Escape the commotion of Las Vegas with a peaceful gondola ride at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. If you are tired of all the gambling, shopping and bumping on one of those Elvis fakes, the Gondola ride in the Venetian will be a great change of pace. If you’ve never been in Venice before, the gondola ride in the Venetian gives you a pleasant hint of what you will get in that touristy Italian city.

You’ll be guided by gondoliers who sing beautiful and romantic Italian songs while traversing slowly on the blue and quiet canal water. The Godfather theme song is the favorite among many guests, so you may ask the gondolier to sing it if you like the movie. You have two choices of ride; the indoor and outdoor, both last about 15 minutes.

MAIN FEATURES :

If you choose the indoor ride, you will pass through the St. Marks, under those walking bridges and also the busy shops in Grand Canal Shoppes. So if you visit Las Vegas between January and March and it’s raining; you should choose the indoor type.

If you want to experience something closer to the real thing with the wind blowing and the sun shining, you should choose the outdoor ride. It’s recommended to use the outdoor ride before 10AM and after 4PM. The night outdoor ride is preferred by those who seek more romantic surrounding.

Each gondola holds four, so you may need to share the gondola with other couple. Each seat costs $16 or $32 for each couple. So if you want to have a private gondola ride you need to pay $64 for the 15 minutes ride. It’s possible to get a private ride for only $32, try to hang around during dinner time, if you see there’s no one waiting in line and a few gondolas stay idle; quickly buy two tickets. Don’t forget to prepare $2-3 to tip the gondolier, especially if he sings well.

Those who want to have a unique wedding setting -instead of those trite Las Vegas wedding chapels- can choose a bigger gondola reserved for this purpose. It is an intricately decorated gondola which would serve as a memorable platform for the greatest day in your life.
