The World, a high-end luxury cruise ship that serves as a floating vacation home as it travels through the major parts of the world is about to make a halt in Maine in October 2012 said the official report from Portland.

The news has been confirmed by the Portland official Representative Nicole Clegg. The world’s one of the largest ship of 644 foot ship with a high-end 165 luxury apartments are about to give everything for its travelers as it is accompanied by everything more than like city right from studio apartments to six bedroom ocean penthouse inside carrying thousands of people hailing from more than 40 different countries. The luxury cruiser ship is about to make a halt for couple of days in Portland from Oct. 15-17, 2012.

The luxury cruise started its voyage from the Australia in January has been planned to make its journey to Southeast Asia and India passing through the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean Sea and also making its entry to the Greenland and east coasts of North and South America before making its final destination of the trip in Antarctica. However the world’s largest cruiser will make its appearance once again in Portland since 2005. The ship is currently parked in the Port of Cobh on the southern coast of Ireland

This time it’s going to be record making number from Portland as nearly73 ships carrying 75,731 passengers are about to make their presence in Portland this season. Currently as per the report it has been said 37 ships with nearly 50,000 passengers are booked for the 2011 cruise ship season including the Cunard ship, Queen Elizabeth, and ships for the 2012 season are already being booked.
