The US Department of Commerce reported that international visitors are spending approximately around USD 11.1 billion alone in travel and tourism activities within United States in June 2010.


However it is nearly 1.4 billion (15 %) higher than what it has been spend on the same a year before- and marking its sixth successive month of development in monthly US travel and tourism exports. The international visitors visiting and spending in US has increased drastically every month at an average of USD $732 million a month in 2010. This is remarkable and consistent increase adding up more revenue to the US state said the official of US Department of Commerce.

However Purchases of products and other items related to travel and tourism by the global visitors in US also faced major increase averaging nearly USD $8.6 billion during June 2010, and this results is about 14% higher when matched against to its previous year result. The goods and products purchased by the visitors normally incorporate things such as food, lodging, recreation, gifts, entertainment, local transportation in the United States, and other items incidental to foreign travel. Meanwhile fees acquired by US vessels operators also yielding more money of nearly USD 2.5 billion for the month of June and it is almost 17% higher(USD 362 million) than its previous years result.

The reports also shows that visitors to US have spend about USD 64.6 billion on US travel and tourism-related goods and services right from Jan 2010 to June 2010 yielding more than USD 64.6 billion which is 7% higher than its previous year output
